Together with the management of Russian Railways and key market participants, they discussed issues of container transportation development and the transport and logistics complex in the Far East as a whole.
According to Alexander Kahidze, today extended container trains are a key driver for increasing transportation. This overcomes part of the infrastructure constraints by enabling the transportation of additional cargo volume on a single schedule track.
Alexander Konstantinovich also emphasized the progress of the "Artem" TLC project implementation. This is the country's largest "dry port," where work can be done with virtually the entire range of cargo. An important part of the TLC infrastructure will be the wagon repair depot, created to minimize empty runs of rolling stock on the public use network.
