Alexandr Kakhidze took part in the transport and logistics conference PRO Motion. Siberia 2023

The main theses of his speech:

The integrated transport and logistics centre network development is planned. On 6 October 2023 the first stage of TLC Sibirskiy in Novosibirsk region with the capacity of 300 thousand TEU/year will be opened. At the stage of full development, the capacity of TLC Sibirskiy will reach 1 million TEU/year.

Demand for the transportation of containers in open wagons is expected to grow as a result of the imbalance between imports and exports. TLC Sibirskiy will become the key hub for transshipment of containers from open wagons. Proximity of transshipment points for coal will improve the efficiency of the technology.

New growth points are being formed in the area of the West Siberian Railway relative to current traffic volumes. The company considers transport and logistics centres on the West Siberian Railway to be key elements of its logistics chain, which is why it plans to develop transport and logistics centers in Omsk and Kemerovo.

All the facilities of the TLC network are technologically connected, which makes it possible to create a convenient logistics service. The focus is not so much on volume as on synchronising cargo flows with infrastructure development.
