Officially, the start of a regular route for container trains with gondola cars to China via Kazakhstan has been given. The project was implemented jointly with AO "Kedentransservice."
The route will contribute to increasing the export potential of the Ural region and stimulate the development of the international transport corridor "North-South." In the future, we will be able to increase the potential for containerized cargo export to 7 trains per day.
Thus, logistics processes will be optimized, the empty run of gondola cars on the network will be reduced, and an increase in cargo base on the railway will be ensured without additional state investments in the relevant infrastructure.
In addition, within the framework of INNOPROM, the head of the Group of Companies Alexander Kahidze, together with representatives of the Ministry of Economic Development, the government of the Sverdlovsk Region, Russian Railways, and the business community, took part in the expert session "Strategic Directions for Logistics Development - 'Dry Port' - Expanding Horizons." The "Ural" TLC became the key technological element of the "Ekaterinburg Dry Port" project. Such modern terminal infrastructure allows for the formation of new routes and contributes to the overall development of the country's economy.
