The First Deputy General Director of LOGOPER spoke about the Group of Companies, the development of its network of transport and logistics centres (TLCs), and the company's transportation geography.
Vitaly Evgenievich also paid considerable attention to the use of technologies such as extra-long trains and the import of containerised cargo in gondola cars. These solutions help increase freight volumes on bottleneck sections of the Trans-Siberian Railway.
These technologies have already proven their effectiveness, with the average transit time over the last six months on the "China – Far East ports – Elektrougli station" route reaching 28 days.
To prevent an imbalance in export-import cargo flows, it was proposed to organise regular freight shuttles via the Grodikovo–Suifenhe and Kamyshovaya–Hunchun railway border crossings, connecting with the TLC Artyom – the largest dry port in the country.
The Chinese partners were presented with an operational algorithm for such shuttles, which would not only further increase trade turnover between the two countries but also virtually eliminate empty runs of rolling stock on railway infrastructure.
