During a working visit to Primorsky Krai, Yury Trutnev, Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation and Presidential Plenipotentiary Envoy to the Far Eastern Federal District, inspected the construction progress of the multimodal transport and logistics centre "Artyom".
The project is being implemented by the Group of Companies within the Mikhailovsky Advanced Special Economic Zone (TOR), with support from the Russian Government, the leadership of Primorsky Krai, and the Far East and Arctic Development Corporation (KRDV). It envisions the creation of an infrastructure facility with no equal in the country. In September 2025, during the 10th Eastern Economic Forum, the President of the Russian Federation gave the go-ahead for the operation of this unique container terminal.
TLC Artyom covers an area of 456 hectares, with the first phase capacity amounting to 0.5 million TEUs per year. A total of 232 jobs will be created.
The dry port operates in an integrated technological chain with the seaports and land border crossing points of the Far East.
In order to increase the throughput capacity of the Eastern Polygon's mainline transport infrastructure, the TLC's operational model incorporates technology for handling extra-long trains and trains consisting of gondola cars.
Overall, satisfaction was expressed regarding the project's implementation pace.
